No Joy for Megan Joy Last Night
July 17 2009, Published 3:10 p.m. ET
American Idol finalist Megan Joy was mysteriously absent from the finale number during Thursday night's Idol tour stop in L.A.
Earlier in the evening, Megan, who finished in the 9th spot this last season of AI, had performed her solo set, and bumped her mouth with the microphone during a song. At the time, the blonde beauty appeared to laugh off the incident. But when it came time for the show's finale, and all the Idols are suppose to gather onstage to sing Journey's "Don't Stop Believing," Megan was nowhere to be seen as the other nine Idols carried on without her.
Earlier in the day, during a press gathering, Megan was in high spirits, telling OK ! she planned to move to L.A. to pursue acting and modeling as well as singing (though she was no fave of Simon Cowell!)
Megan also explained how important putting on a good show in both NYC and L.A. is to the future of her career. "Those two shows are kind of big determiners of showing people what we can really do. There is pressure. It's a bigger deal tonight than other nights, but I'm confident and happy and know I have a bright future regardless."
