Everyone is rushing to the box office to see James Cameron's new epic, Avatar. Earlier this week Brad Pitt took son Maddox Jolie-Pitt to a showing in NYC. Today, Barack and Michelle Obama along with their daughters, spent part of their New Year's Eve watching the much-buzzed about film in Hawaii!
The first family visited a movie theater near their rented vacation home in Hawaii this morning for a screening of the 3-D blockbuster, the Associated Press reports.

Officials said the Obamas, along with some friends, had the theater to themselves.
We bet first daughters Sasha and Malia were excited to catch the flick.
The Obama family took a break from fun in the sun and left their compound before noon today.
Before the screening, President Obama, a self-described movie buff, got his exercise in at the Marine Corps base nearby.
The Obamas have been spending the Christmas vacation in Hawaii and are set to return to Washington in 2010.
