'The Office' Looking to Hire a New Salesman?

Producers of NBC's The Office are reportedly looking to hire a new salesman now that Steve Carell has resigned.

According to Entertainment Weekly sources, Office producers have reached out to Easbound & Down's Danny McBride and Flight of the Conchord's' Rhys Darby to see if they have an interest in joining the show.
Paul Lieberstein, executive producer of The Office, confirmed they're “having discussions” about hiring a new salesman into Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch, but wouldn't say if that person would necessarily replace Steve's character Michael Scott.

“We haven’t settled exactly who will take over,” Paul said adding a current staffer could be promoted instead.

HBO just renewed Eastbound & Down for a second season and his spokesperson said, “Danny is very happy on Eastbound & Down."
As for Rhys, he's a free agent and Flight of the Conchords is not returning for a third season.
