
'Oh, Happy Day' — Sister Act is Coming to Broadway Spring 2011!

Get ready for the singing nuns of Sister Act to make their way across the pond! Actor/TV host/Producer Whoopi Goldberg is bringing the musical comedy to the NYC stage in the Spring of 2011, after its overwhelming success in London!
Unfortunately, it remains unknown whether Whoopi herself will star in some of the Broadway performances, but she will be appearing in the London cast for a limited run starting Aug. 10!

Based on the hit movie, Sister Act features a new score by eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, whose repertoire includes The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, the Associated Press reports.
