The excitement and chaos of her first weeks as a new mom, coupled with healthier eating habits and frequent breastfeeding has Jessica Simpson feeling confident that she'll reach her weight goal of 130 pounds before the end of the year. Just a few easy lifestyle changes have her already weighing 20 pounds less than when baby girl Maxwell Drew was born last month.

"I had a great pregnancy. Eating and not having to worry too much about it has been fun," Jessica, 31, said shortly before her daughter's May 1 birth.
"Taking a break from working out has definitely been fun. But I'm ready for it to be over. I'm ready to have my body back."
The 5-foot-3-inch star wasn't worried when her weight ballooned to 170 pounds at the time that she posed nude on Elle's cover in her third trimester.

"It's funny to be at your heaviest and feel the most confident," she said at the time. "I just take pride in being a mom! I love my body more than ever now.

But loving your body and being prepared for public scrutiny of your waist size are two different things. Although friends say her fiancé, Eric Johnson, 32, actually prefers Jessica more curvy, she knows that she'll have to look good the first time she steps out of the house after having the baby.
