By betraying love Robert Pattinson, K-Stew made herself the “trampire” who crushed Rob’s mortal soul and made millions of women long to take the brooding Brit in their arms and offer comfort. Reconciliation seemed impossible. Or not.

After Kristen’s betrayal, Rob, devastated, sold the pair’s Los Feliz, Calif., mansion (he’s now bunking at Jennifer aniston’s former home in Malibu). Meanwhile, after an anguished public apology, guilt-ridden Kristen retreated to her family’s L.A. home.

Then, recently, Rob and Kristen secretly met for the first time since the scandal broke in July. That’s when things started to change, say insiders. “The frost between them is thawing, for sure, and Rob has started to break down,” a close friend of the couple tells OK!. “Rob has always said they were soul mates and part of him still believes it. So having to cut her out of his life has been excruciating. He hasn’t forgiven her yet, but he seems to be going in that direction.”

Another source says Rob’s been telling friends, “She’s still the one but I’m not sure I can trust her.” The source says Rob also admits he “wants to trust her, it would just take time.” “As for Kristen,” adds another friend. “This is far and away the most devastating thing that’s ever happened to her."
