NEWSOK! Exclusive: Pete Wentz: "I Haven't Talked to Ashlee Recently!"

At Thursday's Woodies ceremony Pete Wentz's date wasn't pop star and long-time girlfriend Ashlee Simpson but, instead, his Fall Out Boy bandmates, who were out to support friends like The Academy Is... and Gym Class Heroes.
But it wasn't so much Ashlee's absence that raised OK!'s radar so much as what Pete said about her when we asked him how things were going between them. "I think she's good," the bassist shrugged. "I don't know; I haven't talked to her recently!"

When OK! probed deeper, he responded. "Well, I haven't talked to her in the last couple minutes... I hope we didn't break up!"
Now before this sets off any breakup alarm bells, Pete is famous for making jokes about his relationship with Ashlee! In the past he's even joked about Jessica's little sister being pregnant with an alien spawn!
