Along with the rumor that Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi's split is a result of infidelity on her part, there are also some other more deeply rooted issues at work in the break up of their relationship. As OK! first exclusively reported, the couple recently ended their fairytale romance, which began with a nationally broadcasted love fest and engagement on The Bachelor. So what contributed to the rupture?
“Jake was getting presented with opportunities and Vienna wanted them and was jealous,” a source close to Jake tells OK!. “Jake kept trying to include Vienna as much as possible but she got angry and jealous and rebellious over his career taking off and not hers.”
According to the insider, Vienna had a difficult time accepting Jake's escalating fame.
“The reason for the split was simple as far Jake sees it,” the pal adds. “It was slowly coming but they’ve been essentially split for a while now.”
But a pal of Vienna sees it differently, telling OK!, "She's a strong girl and it wasn't working for a while. It's a lot different making a relationship work once you get off of a reality show, it takes a lot of hard work and a lot of times things just don't work out."
The shocking news of the couple's split first came out on Saturday at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Oncology Prom near L.A., where Vienna confessed to Greek actor Gregory Michael that her engagement was over.
“We hit it off and hung out and danced the night away, ” Gregory explains to OK!, adding, “She made it very clear that it was over with Jake.”
