TAKE TIME OUT IN TAHITI

Ali Fedotowsky couldn’t have wished for a more tranquil place to make her decision between Roberto Martinez and Chris Lambton. “Everywhere in Tahiti is romantic,” she gushes about the French Polynesian paradise. Exploring the Tahitian island of Bora Bora, Ali stayed at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa (hilton.com) and La Taha’a Island Resort and Spa (). She enjoyed he snorkeling, fishing and swimming, but Ali says the  most romantic moment was finding the area’s secluded “heart-shaped lagoon.”

After hiking through an ice cave on one of Iceland’s dramatic glaciers and partying at the Karamba nighclub in the island’s vibrant capital,  Reykjavik, Ali was glad to take a dip in the mineral-rich waters of  Iceland’s famous Blue Lagoon. “It’s essentially an enormous hot tub,” laughs the Bachelorette. “The air around the lagoon is freezing, but it feels so good to warm up in the steamy waters.” During her stay on the Northern European island, Ali stayed at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, which is home to VOX, one of Iceland’s most upscale restaurants (hilton.com).

EXPLORE HISTORIC TURKEY

Ali jetted to Eurasia to explore the exotic Turkish city of Istanbul. Staying at the Istanbul Hyatt (hyatt.com), Ali cruised Bosphorus Strait, shopped the bustling Grand Bazaar and visited the Rumeli Fortress, but found her favorite date spot under the city streets in the cathedral-sized chambers of the Basilica Cistern. “I remember feeling overwhelmed with emotion when I walked in,” she recalls. “There was something about the history of that place that made it feel even more romantic. I kept thinking about all the lovers throughout history who had walked through that very place.”

HIT THE TOWN IN PORTUGAL

Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, reminds Ali of her San Francisco home. “There is a bridge that crosses the bay that looks exactly like the Golden Gate Bridge,” she explains.  Despite visiting the grand Sao Jorge Castle and staying at the luxe Sheraton Lisboa Hotel and Spa (sheratonlisboa.com), Ali’s pick for romance is simple — and free! “Walking along the cobblestone streets with Roberto,” she says. “It didn’t hurt that I was with a romantic guy who swept me off my feet.”
