In 2004, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were among the first visitors at George’s villa. Since then, Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas, plus Matt Damon and wife Luciana have all become regulars.

The 30-mile-long lake and surrounding mountains offer endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. George spends his days cruising through the mountains by motorcycle, boating on the lake, picking up supplies in Laglio and shooting hoops with local kids. Also home to some of Italy’s finest cuisine — including polenta and fresh local fish — it’s little wonder celebs can’t get enough of George’s slice of paradise.

Just 30 miles north of Milan, Lake Como is easily accessible by road or rail from Milan’s Malpensa Airport. The Ferrovia Nord Milano train service operates hourly between Milan and Como (ferrovienord.it/en/).
