For those who simply can’t make it to NYC for Fashion Week? Don’t worry, OK!’s got you covered! Today we hung out at Cynthia Rowley's runway show for a sneak peek at the designer’s spring collection and loved every minute.
SHOW: Cynthia Rowley
WHEN: Sept. 11, 2010 (at The Stage, Lincoln Center)
WHO: Rebecca Romijn, Katie Lee, Nigel Barker, Alan Cummings, Tracy Ross
FASHION: There was a mod feel to the easy, elegant shift dresses and separates in a largely muted palette of blue-grey and ebony with odd welcome pops of strawberry and coral hues. The real story was the embellishment; glossy baubles artfully arranged on everything from boot-cut pants to silky shells giving a luxe, edgy feel to otherwise prim basics. Sheer paneling and large perforated polka dots also added an edge, climbing up skirts and sexing up sweaters in a cheeky game of peek-a-boo.
BEAUTY: Hair was sleek and chic in side-swept chignons held in place with big, bright enamel clips. Dewey skin and minimal eye-makeup let the model’s bright tomato-red lips do the talking (not that the girls had much to say).
COLOR/OVERHEAD: Rebecca Romijn held court on the front row, revealing that she makes sure she gets a blow-out “at least once a week” to help her feel glam as a busy mom before grabbing actor Alan Cumming to say she had some news for him after the show. Rebecca also revealed that her new style icon is none other than Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Ciccone. “There’s something about young people taking chances with clothes,” she told OK!. “They don’t know what the rules are so they always break them and it’s always great.”

Katie Lee broke ranks from all the girls wearing Cynthia Rowley on the front row, instead choosing a belted dress by Madewell and boyfriend blazer by Stella McCartney. America's Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker complained that fashion week has been a bit "conservative" and "somber" for him so far. "It’s kind of a shame, the lack of people in fashion like Alexander McQueen," he complained. "I like all the show and the crazies."
