Can’t make it to NYC for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week? Don’t worry, OK!’s got you covered! Today we checked out Narciso Rodriguez’s runway show for a sneak peek at the collection and loved every minute of it!
SHOW: Narciso Rodriguez
WHEN: February 15
WHO: Jerry Seinfeld, Jessica Seinfeld, Leigh Lezark, Brad Goreski, Tory Burch
FASHION: Steering away from his revered body-con trend, Narciso placed emphasis on more blowsy looks and has referred to his Fall 2011 collection as “slouchier and more relaxed.” Pops of red and purple brightened up the black and white color palette of the featured designs along with gray influences. Geometric patterns and structured collars gave the collection a bit of a futuristic feel. There was also a noticeable juxtaposition between hard and soft, structured and blowsy — chiffon dresses paired with tailored jackets.
BEAUTY: Models looked very natural with nude lips, light blush and a smokey eye. Hair was pulled back and tied in knots, giving off an almost futuristic vibe.
COLOR/OVERHEAD: Heavy Hitters in the fashion industry and NYC socialites came out in full force to cheer on Narciso. New Yorkers Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld happily watched the 29 looks hit the catwalk from the front row, as they held hands.
While is former pregnant boss Rachel Zoe has been missing from the NYC Fashion Week scene, stylist Brad Goreski was front and center at Narciso's show.
