Oksana Claims Mel Threatened to Kill TMZ Exec

The beast that is the Mel Gibson/Oksana Grigorieva story just keeps getting uglier and more complicated, as new controversial reports keep popping up. This one involves TMZ in a much more personal way than just their role as harbingers of entertainment news.

TMZ says that Oksana's rep, Steve Jaffe, had informed Harvey that Mel told Oksana he was so mad about TMZ breaking the news of his 2006 anti-Semitic rant after his DUI, he was going to kill Harvey. Jaffe says Mel told Oksana he had someone watching Harvey this year, even following him to the gym at 4 a.m.

The plan from that point was allegedly to kidnap Harvey, strip him, take him into the desert, break his kneecaps and leave him to die.

However, TMZ points out that Jaffe related this tale right after griping that the site hadn't been nice enough to Oksana in a recent post. TMZ believes the whole thing is a lie, since Oksana mentioned the wrong gym, never told her lawyers this story while trying to negotiate for $15 million in her mediation with Mel, and although she claims to have told the Sheriff's Department the story of the hit on Harvey, no one ever contacted the TMX exec about it.
