Oscar-Winner Jim Rash Swears He Wasn't Mocking Angelina Jolie On Stage: "It Was a Loving Tribute!"

A lot of people got a good laugh last night when Oscars presenter Angelina Jolie, dressed in a black velvet Atelier Versace gown, struck a very awkward leg-flashing pose at the 84th Annual Academy Awards.

And no one found it funnier than winner Jim Rash, who mocked Angie on stage when he went up to accept his award for Adapted Screenplay for The Descendants with fellow writers Alexander Payne and Nat Faxon. Or at least we thought he was mocking her....

"I just saw her pose and I thought, you know what, we have exactly the same legs," Jim quipped backstage as he argued with his colleagues over whether or not he dissed Brad Pitt's sexy lady. "And I wanted to show everyone what it meant. It was a loving tribute."

"It was more like, oh, she's standing, great," Jim added, "I'm going to stand like that, too."

Angie, who admitted on the red carpet that the dress made her "feel sexy," was definitely flaunting her figure, and Nat says, more power to her!
