Paris Hilton Speaks About Being Single Again: "I'm Excited to Get to Know Myself"

Although love may be in the air for countless couples this summer, cupid has left the building for Paris Hilton and Cy Waits. The couple has officially ended their relationship, according to her rep. Paris also dished about the single life and summer excitement!

A representative for Paris indicated, “I can confirm that Paris Hilton and Cy Waits have ended their relationship. It was a joint and amicable decision. They both have respect and care for one another and ask for you to please respect their privacy.”
At an I Heart Ronson and JC Penney Collection Event last night in L.A., the heiress and reality star opened up about the single life, now that she and Cy are amicable exes. "I've never been single in my life," she explained to reporters.

"I've always had a boyfriend and I've always been scared to be alone, so I've been that type of person that needs somebody and never got to know myself. When I'm in a relationship I give my all and I'm 100%, so I'm excited to get to know myself and spend time with my family, my sister, and my girls."

Sounds like timing couldn't be better because Paris is "excited to spend time with my sister and my best friend and just have an amazing summer." Her travel plans include Malibu, Italy, St. Tropez...the works!

Aside from summer fun, the second season of her show will focus more on single life. She told OK!, "Definitely! It's going to be a lot different than this season - a lot of fun, a lot of hanging out with my girls, and just living life to the fullest."
And in case you think Paris and Cy split up on bad terms, think again. Paris stated, "Cy and I have been friends for years. I've known him from Vegas and my family knows him, and he's such a great guy and always treated me so well. He's one of my closest friends, so you know."
