
Paris Makes 'Me Too' Donation

Paris Hilton would never be without the season's must-have. And right now, anyone who's anyone is carrying a receipt for a large donation to a children's charity.
So no sooner had Brad and Angie revealed their massive $1million gift to eduction programs in Iraq and the US, than the heiress blurted out that she had also given an "extremely generous" donation to a kids' cause.
Apparently the 27-year-old socialite has handed over an undisclosed sum to help build a new unit for the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the hospital said yesterday.
The 460,000-square-foot Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases is expected to open in 2010.
''The children I have met through my involvement with Children's Hospital have truly touched my heart,'' Paris said in a statement, reported in the New York Times.
''I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses.''
Just the day before, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie pledged $1 million to children caught up in the Iraq conflict.
