Long before Patrick Dempsey was a hunky TV doctor and romantic comedy movie star, the 42-year-old just really wanted to be a clown. He told Extra, "Barnum and Bailey has a clown school that you have to go through to get into the circus. I put the form in and I was too young and I didn't get accepted.”
Now, Patrick's main work out is bicycling instead of juggling. But, the two have something in common- a funny wardrobe. He admits that he gets made fun of a lot for wearing spandex. “But if you're riding a bike a lot it makes sense. If you cycle it's fine," he said, "I've given up having an ego at this point!”

At the end of the day, Patrick's main gig and husband and dad to his three kids with wife Jillian. “I think you're constantly surprised by your kids. And there's a feeling that you get with them. There's an emotion and a connection that's unlike anything else.”
