An upbeat Patrick Swayze arrived in Chicago on Sunday evening and shared with fans at the airport that how he's winning his fight with pancreatic cancer.

"I couldn't believe what a great mood Patrick was in when I met him," Amber Goodhand of TheBootsGirls.com tells OK!  "He was so upbeat and friendly!"

Fans were thrilled to see that the actor looked better than he did when he was diagnosed with the disease in March.

"I told him that he looked really good," Amber tells OK!. "With a smile he shot back and told me that not only has he gained 20 pounds, but that 'he's a miracle.  A f****** miracle!'"

Because he's doing so well, the 55-year-old revealed that he will not have to fly back to L.A. on the weekends in-between filming The Beast for treatment.

Even though Patrick appears to be on the road to recovery, he is still taking precautions to take care of his health. Unlike last time he was in Chicago in December to film The Beast pilot, the star has a security team looking after him and has requested all his food be organic foods delivered to his hotel from Whole Foods. He also inquired about places where he can go to take his dogs for walks with wife Lisa Niemi.
