Former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul is walking away from ABC's offer to host a reboot of the classic talent show, Star Search.
With Paula out of the running, the fate of the show is now uncertain since the all-new Star Search was dependent on the "Straight Up" singer coming on board, says The Hollywood Reporter.
OK! NEWS: PAULA ABDUL TO JOIN STAR SEARCH?
Apparently Paula said "no" to ABC over the salary. Fox offered her a hefty $5 million to continue on Idol last year, which she rejected, making her reluctant to take a lower salary for Star Search.

However, ABC didn't want to offer such generous pay deals with a new untested reality show. So, will this pave the way for Paula to join Simon Cowell's new project, the X Factor?
