As rumors swirled a few days ago about Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi joining Dancing With the Stars, another Jersey Shore castmate is throwing his hat into the ring. Kind of. Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio revealed during a NYC television interview that he'll appear on the show if and when his hot DJ career hits the skids.

During a chat on New York Live (via Huffington Post), Pauly D indicated he earns more than $10,000 each night he spins the tunes!  Considering he earns big bucks for his job, it sounds like that may be too tempting to stay rather than temporarily hanging up the playlist to hit the ballroom.

He explained, “I will do Dancing with the Stars when my career dips."

As for Snooki's romp with the disco ball, apparently she's in the dark about being on the show. He recalled, “I texted her congratulations about doing 'Dancing,' but she texted back 'am I?'"

DWTS talk aside, he's excited to be back in New Jersey after missing the tanning salon and gym in Italy. “There are no tanning salons, which is a problem for me," he noted. "The gym is an hour away and you have to carry your laundry because the streets are so narrow. GTL was a mess. Everything else was beautiful. You had to go to a nail salon if you want to go tanning.”
