In a summer in which Rafael Nadal won Wimbledon and the Spanish football team triumphed at the World Cup, Spain's golden couple, Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, has tied the knot.
The long-time lovers married in a secret ceremony at a friend's house in the Bahamas at the beginning of the month, confirms Penélope's rep Amanda Silverman.

The Nine star wore a dress designed by her old friend John Galliano to marry Javier, 41, in front of family members.

The old friends started dating in 2007 but have said little about their relationship, although Javier paid tribute to his Oscar-winning love at the Cannes Film Festival this year as he collected his best actor trophy.
