Getting booted off last season's American Idol in ninth place doesn't seem to have any back lash for Pia Toscano. Letting her pipes shine, Pia has signed a recording deal with Interscope Records. The label is actually run by her Idol mentor, Jimmy Iovine!
According to Rolling Stone, her debut album will launch later this year. It'll include at least three cuts recorded with superstar producer, Rodney Jerkins. He's been known to work with powerhouses like the late Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige and Whitney Houston. Not too shabby!
As for her highly anticipated debut single, "This Time," it'll be released next Tuesday. Rihanna songwriter Esther Dean wrote the number and will also be featured as part of Pia's performances on the American Idol Live! tour.
