President Obama to Guest-Star on 'Mythbusters'

Myth, busted: President Barack Obama is in fact set to appear on an episode of Discovery Channel's show Mythbusters as part of his efforts to celebrate science.

According to CNN, President Obama will have a walk-on role on the program in December for an episode that will challenge the myth that Greek scientist Archimedes set fire to a Roman fleet by using sunlight and mirrors.
As part of a White House Science Fair on Monday, which celebrates winners of competitions in science, technology, engineering and math, Obama will reportedly make his announcement.

Last year, Obama launched his Educate to Innovate campaign to improve performance standards in math and science of U.S. students.
"If you win the NCAA championship, you come to the White House," he said. "Well, if you're a young person and you produce the best experiment or design, the best hardware or software, you ought to be recognized for that achievement, too."
