President Obama Praises 'Dark Knight Rises' Star Anne Hathaway: "She's Spectacular"

How's this for the highest compliment in the land?
Last night, during a fund-raising event costing revelers $35,800 per plate at Harvey Weinstein's home, President Obama revealed that he not only watched The Dark Knight Rises, he loved Anne Hathaway's performance.

As reported by The Huffington Post, the POTUS indicated, "She's spectacular. I got a chance to see TDKR, and she was the best thing in it. That's just my personal opinion."
And, in case you're wondering, yes, Anne was in attendance, along with Harvey and actress Joanne Woodward. The president's not the only person who thought Anne did a tremendous job with the role. She's receiving Oscar buzz, too!
Academy Award blogger Sasha Stone indicated a nomination could be in her future. She blogged, "If there is going to be one, it will most likely be her."

Sasha added, "True, everyone thinks Les Misérables will be her big Oscar grab and it probably will be but — that doesn’t take away the fact that she’s still the film’s best shot at an acting nod."
