
Probe Launched in Clooney Fashion "Hoax"

An April Fool's prank on George Clooney has landed two people in trouble with the law.
Two people are currently being investigated by authorities for fraud for attempting to launch a fashion line under the Oscar winner’s name in Milan two weeks ago.
According to the Associated Press, tax police have already confiscated fake documentation, various garments and watches from the two for the probe, which commenced after George filed a complaint.

Two weeks ago, a mass e-mail went out announcing the 46-year-old actor’s plans to create GC Exclusive By George Clooney. The reports were quickly squashed by George, who called the news a “hoax,” which he re-asserted Wednesday in Rome while promoting Leatherheads.
''If someone tries to sell you clothes or watches that are based on me, don't buy them,'' he said.
