Listen up Twi-hards. Everyone's favorite bloodsucker may be signing on to a new flick. Robert Pattinson and Sean Penn are reportedly in consideration for casting in Fox's film Water for Elephants (slated for release in 2011), with A-lister Reese Witherspoon already joined to star and Francis Lawrence attached to direct, Variety reports.
The film is based on the best-selling historical work by Sara Gruen, according to Variety, which will adapted for the bigscreen.
The production studio would not confirm the details of the project.
The book is set during the Great Depression and tells the story of a Cornell University veterinary student who leaves his studies behind after his parents are killed, and joins up with the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth, where he works as vet for the circus.
For those who need an R-Pattz fix pronto, tune into the Haiti telethon Friday. Robert is reportedly making an appearance from London.
