The Vow isn't a Nicholas Sparks movie, but it performed just as well as one at the box office this weekend! Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum's new film was number one this weekend.

Everyone loves a good romance movie around Valentine's Day. The Vow, according to MTV News, earned an estimated $41.7 million at the box office opening weekend. That's the biggest opening for anyone this year so far!
Coming in at number two this weekend was Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds' Safe House with $39 million and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island opened in third at $27.5 million.

The real-life couple who inspired the movie The Vow, Kim and Krickett Carpenter, stopped by the Today show this morning and chatted with Ann Curry about the film's success.
"It's amazing," Krickett explained. "We are truly blessed."
