Jennifer Lopez's emotional breakdown on American Idol this week received quite a bit of attention. So what did fellow judge, Randy Jackson, think about it?

Randy chatted with OK! at the Treats! 2011 Pre-Oscar Magazine Launch Party at the Goldstein Residence in Beverly Hills on Thursday about J. Lo's breakdown.
"Listen, it was a very touching moment I mean this was a kid that we all loved for a while on the show and his story is just amazing, so it’s a heartbreaker," Randy explained.
What triggered Jennifer's tears was having to send Chris Medina home, whose tragic story of his fiancée touched many viewers.

What did Randy say to Jennifer to help calm her down?
"She was just really worried about how she dealt with it so I said, 'Listen, you dealt with it the only way that you could.' " Randy recalled to OK!. "She was really sensitive in the moment and she was just really real with him and I think he could kind of tell."

"Because it was such a sober moment for all of us it was very emotional so when you walk into that and you sit in the seat you’re like, 'hmm something’s gonna be up here,' " he added. "And he knew that there were some performances that later just were not stellar."
Has Randy ever cried watching the show before?
"Not necessarily watching the show, but I used to cry with Ryan Seacrest all the time."
