Real Housewives' Kandi Burruss "Devastated" Over Death of Ex-Fiancé

Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kandi Burruss has suffered a tragic loss, as her ex-fiancé, Ashley Jewell, aka AJ, was killed after a fight outside a strip club in Atlanta on Friday.

On behalf of Kandi, TreMedia has released a preliminary statement to OK!: "As has been reported, Ashley Jewell, 34, was killed in Atlanta last night.  AJ, as he is known to many and Grammy award winning songwriter, Kandi Burruss of Real House Wives of Atlanta and formerly of platinum recording group Xscape, were engaged to be married.  Kandi is devastated as she is also mourning the death of her uncle, Ralph Leslie, and is attending his funeral today.  She has no statement to make at this time and asks for privacy. "

Bravo has also released a statement, saying, "Our thoughts are with Kandi and AJ's family during this tragic time."
