Real Housewives of Orange County Vicki Speaks!

The Real Housewives of Orange County is back tonight!
And there's at least one gal, Vicki Gunvalson, known for her outrageous behavior on the series, who feels she shouldn’t be the reality star people love to hate.
My Los Angeles counterpart, Carole Glines, recently caught up with the fortysomething blonde, who’s coming back for the series fourth season!
“I don’t think I’m the villain of the show,” Vicki says. “I think I’m one who’s actually the hardest working. I’m a hard worker and I want to have a lot of fun, too. You’ve got to have thick skin and don’t let everything bother you. The first and second season, I would cry at the end, saying, ‘that’s not really me.’ But now I just think, you signed up for it and you’ve got to put your big girl panties on.”
Insurance broker Vicki is the ringleader of the group of wealthy Orange County female friends whose lives are depicted like a soap opera—with plenty of shopping, drinking, Botox injections, and conflicts with family members. The original show was so successful that it’s spawned severals spinoffs, including The Real Housewives of Atlanta and upcoming Real Housewives of New Jersey.
But now that the Orange County gals are back Vicki, who's party yell after having cocktails is hard to miss, says, “I’m trying to minimize the ‘woo hoos’ this year but when you feel it, you’ve just got to say it!”

But eveything isn't peachy keen in the O.C. Vicki reveals that viewers will see that things are still strained between herself and second husband, Donn.
“I don’t balance life very well. One of the things I vowed this year was that I was going to be a better wife and I don’t know if I’ve gotten to that level because I’m so busy, and he’s the last person I end up taking time for. It’s hard. When the show’s not airing, I’ll say ‘I’ll spend some more time with you,’ and then something else comes up."
She defends herself accordingly. “My business is growing. I have about 3,000 agents across the nation that I’m training on a daily basis."
Work it, you entrepreneurial super woman! But don't forget, life isn't all about the bottom line!
