Rebecca Black became a viral video sensation this weekend. The 13-year-old signed singer unveiled the music video for her latest single "Friday" early last month, but over the weekend her track launched from 4,000 views to over four million on YouTube. Why? Thanks to Twitter and the blogosphere, the ditty gained some serious attention, but not for Rebecca's singing prowess. The track has been dubbed the "the worst song ever."
Rebecca's song is far from ingenious when it comes to lyrics. At first it sounds like your classic pop tune, but while she may have a recording contract, she isn't a lyricist.

"Yesterday was Thursday / Today it is Friday / Tomorrow is Saturday / And Sunday comes afterward," she continually croons throughout the close to 4-minute track.

Ark Music Factory, her record label, posted the video for "Friday" on YouTube on Feb. 10.
On March 11, it only had about 4,000 views. Today it has 6,454,359 views.
Commenters have not been so kind calling the song "terrible" and "unbelievable." Some believe it's a joke and others that she is following the Justin Bieber model — go viral on YouTube and launch to international stardom.
But Bieber has some serious vocal chops, and it's hard to compare his ballad "Baby" to Rebecca's "Friday".
Regardless, some people find the song catchy and Rebecca is getting a lot of attention on the Web, something that is important for any up-and-coming singer.
