In a brilliant move of ABC cross-promotion, the Ugly Betty beauty will guest star as Joannifer, the “wildly sexy and free-spirited ex-wife” of the actor’s Laird in an upcoming episode. The 30-minute sitcom, premiering Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 8:30 p.m., follows the lives of four working-class buddies who vent to and commiserate with each other during their rush hour commutes. As for Ugly Betty, in which Rebecca portrays transgender Alex Meade, the Emmy-nominated dramedy returns for its second season on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. Jerry and Rebecca tied the knot on July 14 in an intimate ceremony at their L.A. ranch.
