Now that Barbara Walters announced her retirement today on The View, she is getting ready to cap off a journalism career that has served her well for more than 50 years.
The thrice-wed TV icon, 83, shared her secrets for excelling in the workplace last month during the Time 100 Gala in NYC.
“Love what you do, come in early, stay late and don’t bitch,” the mother of one tells me. “That may be the best piece of advice I give you.”
Still, Barbara isn’t saying goodbye completely. She’ll retain her executive producer role on The View.
Hm, what would she like to see happen in the next ten years on the gabfest?
“In the next ten years, I’d like us all to be alive.”
Bonus: We’ll still get to enjoy her quips through summer 2014.
