Being away from six-month-old son Duke isn’t easy for busy career woman Giuliana Rancic, who married Apprentice winner Bill Rancic in 2007.
“I love the Peek Plus Monitor by Summer Infant,” the E! News anchor and Fashion Police co-host, 37, tells me Thursday during the Born Free and Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower event at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood.
“Bill and I work a lot. I get to check in on him on my smartphone and I love it. I get to stalk my son! laughs”
Hm, what’s her secret to looking polished when she might feel frazzled?
“When I work it's a lot easier, so I'm very lucky,” the Giuliana and Bill star says. “But when I'm home being a mom taking care of the baby, it's easy to get lost and to forget about taking care of yourself.”
She continues, “My secret is doing things that are quick. For instance, I don't wash my hair every day and blow dry because it takes time away from being with the baby. I try to find things that make my life a lot easier.”

Making sure she fully focuses on her son during precious moments spent together is key for the woman who welcomed Duke through a surrogate after struggling with infertility and breast cancer.
“We bought him a little float for the pool and his little legs go through,” she says. “He’s obsessed. He loves the water.”
Feeding time is also special.
“I've been using Born Free bottles since the very beginning,” she says of the BPA-free baby accessory. “They are the safest and best bottles for him.”
During the event, she checked out the new baby products, and took home a Summer Infant Lil' Luxuries Whirlpool Tub. Turns out, he loves baths. Someone’s going to be a happy baby!
