Giuliana Rancic’s son Edward Duke has quickly become a constant, but she’ll have to leave her three-week-old bundle of joy with hubby Bill on Sunday when she covers for E!’s Live From The Red Carpet special at the Emmys in L.A.

“I love motherhood,” she tells me during P&G GIVE Hope’s “Do It For The Girls!” Day of Action event held Thursday in NYC. “I’m on maternity leave for three months, but I am doing the Emmys for one day this weekend.”

She adds, “It’s going to be nice to be reunited with the Fashion Police crew – Kelly Osbourne, George Kotsiopoulos and Joan Rivers, but it’s going to be hard – that 24 hours away from the baby is still going to be pretty hard.”

“I love maternity leave,” she says. “I’ve never taken off more than a few days in ten years, and so, to have all this time off to just bond with the family has been incredible.”

Catch Giuliana on E!’s Live From The Red Carpet special, which begins at 5 p.m. ET.

Giuliana is a spokesperson for "Do It For the Girls!" Day of Action, a P&G GIVE Hope initiative designed to motivate woman nationwide, via Facebook and Twitter Party #GiveHope, to conduct a breast self-exam and create an early detection plan.
