Red Carpet Confidential: Jennie Garth Finds Herself After Divorce From Peter Facinelli
Sept. 4 2012, Published 8:23 a.m. ET
When Jennie Garth hit Las Vegas for Labor Day weekend, she and her gal pals stopped by Lavo and Azure Pool at The Palazzo, where a male admirer pulled her into the pool and the fun-loving gang began splashing the crowd.
Laughter is all part of the healing process for the mom of three, who split from hubby of eleven years Peter Facinelli in January.
How did she bounce back from divorce?
“I think that I just surrounded myself with a lot of support,” Jennie, 40, tells me while promoting Crest/Oral-B's new kids and tweens oral care line. “I had to get back in touch with what was important to me, and taking good care of myself.”
According to Jennie, starting over is “not easy” in the romance department.
Aside from dates with photographer Noah Abrams and reteaming with her old Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Luke Perry to develop a sitcom and film an Old Navy commercial, Jennie has embraced her independent spirit.
“I just turned 40, and I am learning A LOT about myself right now, so I think with knowledge certainly comes independence.”

She continues, “I’m working on a lot of things right now, especially, but really focusing on loving myself, and knowing that I am ‘enough’ just the way I am.”

One thing that helped her reconnect with herself?
Her CMT reality show, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country.
“I didn’t hate it as much as I thought I was going to,” she says. “It was actually a cathartic process for me. I was going through a tough time in my life, and I think that it wasn’t the worst thing that ever happened to me.”
