Singer Pink is honored as Billboard’s Woman Of The Year during their Women In Music event held Tuesday at Capitale in NYC, which makes sense, since Pink has topped the charts with more than twenty hits since 2000.

“I am like a rash,” the good-natured Grammy winner, 34, tells me. “I just won’t go away! I want to show other women it’s OK to be whatever you want to be. You can be sassy, smart-ass and intelligent.”

Despite the accolades, Pink believes she still has room to grow as a songwriter.
Who inspires her?
“Billy Joel, because he can paint a picture with words,” she says. “One day, my dad tells me, I’ll be able to write a song like that, maybe.”
