Red Carpet Confidential: Whitney Port Hearts Ryan Gosling
Aug. 28 2009, Published 1:00 p.m. ET
Whitney Port has her eyes on a certain former Mouseketeer, and it’s not Justin Timberlake or JC Chasez.
The single City star, 24, crushes on Ryan Gosling, who starred on the Disney Channel show from 1993-1994.
“I think he’s super-talented and really sexy,” she tells me with a laugh.
Good choice! I was once introduced to the Oscar-nominated actor, 28, at a Mickey Mouse Club alum-heavy Buzzfly concert in L.A. (Keri Russell, Tony Lucca, Damon Pampolina, Dale Godboldo, and of course, Chasen Hampton, were in the house.) He was super-sweet, and even gave me a kiss on the cheek.
Ryan exemplifies everything Whitney likes about her man’s style.
“I like them pretty simple,” she says. “A t-shirt, jeans and sneakers is fine by me. I don’t need the guy to care much about what he wears.”
Like her dream guy, this bi-coastal beauty aspires for the classic look, and tries to avoid the latest craze.
“I like pieces that I can wear no matter when,” she says. “If I’m going to spend my money on something, I want it to last for awhile. I’m not much of a trend-savvy person. I like what I feel most confident in. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in style.”

But the reality star, who moonlights as a designer for her own Whitney Eve line, won’t bash those considered to be fashion disasters.
“I don’t really have a pet peeve with fashion, because I feel like if the person wants to wear that, then they should be entitled to wear it,” she says. “I think what you wear is a reflection of who you are as a person, so I don’t think anybody should hold that against you.”
