Reese's mother, Betty Witherspoon, is suing her father, John Witherspoon, for bigamy. Bigamy is defined as the act of entering into a marriage when you're still legally married to someone else. That "someone else" in this case is Betty, who has been separated from John since 1996 but never filed for divorce. In the meantime, John got married on January 14 to a woman named Tricianne Taylor in Tennessee.

It gets weirder.

When Betty confronted John, he claimed to have no idea who Tricianne is, leading her to suspect he's suffering from dementia. Betty worries his new wife is an opportunist and reaping the financial benefits. According to court documents, the couple live together and Tricianne has been given control of his will.

Betty hopes to get the marriage annulled and have Tricianne return all the gifts (vehicles, jewelry, property, etc.) she's acquired since the marriage.

In brighter news, things seem to be moving along swimmingly for Reese who's pregnant with her third child and blissfully in love with new husband Jim Toth.

"I was hard on myself when I got divorced," she told the October issue of Marie Claire. "And until I got remarried, I don't think I realized how stressed I was. I feel so much relief. I got lucky...he's so wonderful, I'm very blessed."
