Regis Philbin is Returning to TV After Recovering from Hip Op

Regis Philbin is set to be restored to his rightful place as king of daytime TV when he returns to duty on Live! with Regis and Kelly on Jan. 4.
Regis, 78, took a month off to recuperate from hip replacement surgery on Dec. 1, reports the New York Daily News.
He'll meet guests including Amy Adams, Tim Allen, Jenna Elfman and pilot Chesley Sullenberger on his first week back.
Kelly Ripa has fronted the show with a series of guest co-hosts in Regis' absence.
