Are you ready for some more Gossip?
According to reports, producers are planning a Gossip Girl spinoff centering around Taylor Momsen's character, Jenny Humphrey.
Jenny, sister of Penn Badgley's Dan, is a 14-year-old Brooklynite desperately trying to climb her way up the elite Upper West Side social ladder. In the Gossip Girl books, the character enrolls in boarding school and is spun-off in her own six-book series called The It Girl. Her travails in The It Girl would serve as inspiration for the small-screen adaptation.
If that idea doesn't pan out, execs will turn to Plan B to introduce a new character in the upcoming season who will later be spun off.
CW has declined to comment on this development, but GG creator Josh Schwartz has denied the, well, gossip to E!.
"Not sure how this got out there, but no plans for spinoff at this moment," he says. "The books do have a spinoff, but we have nothing in the works right now other than making sure season two gets off to a great start."

If the network were to greenlight the show though, it would be the second teen spinoff on its docket, following in the footsteps of the much-ballyhooed 90210 spinoff.
