NEWSReport: No 'This Is It' Tix for Michael Jackson's Mom

Oct. 16 2009, Published 1:45 p.m. ET
One would expect that the family of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, would probably be the first people to get tickets to see This Is It, the upcoming documentary about MJ's tour that never was. But there appears to be more than a little confusion about this matter, and so far Michael's mom Katherine Jackson has been left out in the cold without her ticket.
According to TMZ, a bundle of 60 passes to the premier were to be made available for the Jackson family, though not all of the Jacksons appear to have gotten the message.

Of course, that might not be a bad thing, as TMZ says Katherine has explained to them that she has no interest in seeing the film, which was culled together from rehearsal footage from earlier this year.
For their part, Sony states they didn't just make sure the Jacksons were invited to the premiere; they also made an offer of a private screening for them.
