It looks like the third time really was the charm for Ricky Gervais. The 2012 Golden Globes host walked away from the show feeling good about the night.

Compared to last year, it seemed there was less of Ricky during the Golden Globes show and overall less jokes.
But nobody's feelings were severely hurt (except maybe Kim Kardashian's) and Ricky feels good about his hosting job this year.
"Phew! Thank f*** that's over. I had a blast actually," Ricky wrote on his blog. "It was by far my favourite of the three hosting stints. I've told my agent to never let me be persuaded to do it again though."

Last year, Ricky seemed at odds with the audience, but this year he felt they understood each other better.

"The crowd were great this year too," he added. "I think they finally worked out that my gags only seemed rude and nasty, but were actually not too scary at all. Or they were just drunker."
