Rihanna to RiRing in New Year's in Times Square

Considering the 2009 she's had, it's not surprising that Rihanna wants to finish it with a bang. It was just announced that the Rated R singer will join NBC's Carson Daly-hosted New Year's Eve show from the middle of Manhattan's world-famous Times Square. RiRi will be performing live for the freezing fans huddled into the Big Apple's busiest intersection. Let's just hope for her sake that she wears a little more clothing than she's used to sporting on stage.

On Dec. 31, New Year's Eve with Carson Daly will air on NBC from 10-11pm and then pick up again at 11:30pm for the official countdown to 2010. Also performing on the show are Grammy-winning rockers Green Day.
