Rihanna has something to say to all the teens who feel they don’t fit in: Just be yourself!
“Don’t be afraid to be yourself just because you’re not like everybody else in class,” the singer tells Seventeen magazine [via Access Hollywood].
“If you want to dye your hair green and that’s what makes you happy, then dye your hair green — no matter what other people might say about it. Not everybody is going to like you, that’s the world we live in; that’s reality.”
Good advice from someone who’s sporting a bright red cropped hair cut, although she’s rocking a blonde coif on the cover of the magazine.
And changing up her look isn’t the only thing making the 22-year-old happy: “There’s a balance in my life that wasn’t there before. It’s a really different peace, a different energy,” she says.
Rihanna added that being happy with her life and career is “really liberating”.
“It makes you feel so proud when you look back and see how much it took you to actually get here,” she said. “And it’s the best feeling. I’m really enjoying life right now.”
