When two horror aficionados team up, romance follows.
Rob Zombie, 42, and his wife, , 36, married on Halloween in 2002. So it’s fitting that Sheri would star in his twist on the horror classic Halloween, in theaters now. But Halloween isn’t Sheri’s first role in a Rob Zombie movie. She also appeared in his other films Grindhouse, The Devil’s Rejects and House of 1,000 Corpses. Is it difficult mixing professional and personal lives?
“It’s actually really easy,” he told me. “The days with her on set are the easiest days because I know at least there’s going to be one person who is very prepared. I know what she’s done. You never know if people are going to show up knowing their lines or not, and I always know she’s ready to go, so she makes my life easy. I’m the one who gets sick of her going over her lines. Like ohh…We’ve been together for fourteen years, so I’ve known her long before movies.”

What movies inspired him?
“The first film I saw was King Kong,” he said. “That’s the first thing that made me go ‘holy crap, movies!’ I think I was probably in kindergarten. It’s funny when you’re a little kid and you don’t even know movie theaters exist, and then some day you go to a movie theater and think ‘why am I sitting in these seats with all these other people?’ Willy Wonka was the first movie I saw with other people. From there, it seemed like we always went to the drive-in. Everything. Blazing Saddles, French Connection. It’s a big blur. I would watch movies all day long on TV. TV was better when there were no channels. There was always good stuff on TV, and now there’s just nothing. Once VCRs popped up, then I watched everything.”
