When Robert Downey Jr. picked up his award for Male Star of the Year at the ShoWest Awards last week, he only had one person to thank -- his wife.
"I really want to thank Susan Downey," he tells OK!. "We're married and all that stuff."
The 42-year-old star tied the knot with Susan, a film producer whom he met on the set of 2003's Gothika, in 2005. Susan says "there can only be one rock star in a relationship," that person being herself, a statement Robert wholeheartedly agrees with. Without her, it seems, he would be at a complete loss.

"That behind every great man – and I mean, as far as like whatever great – there’s a woman with her hand in his back pocket patting his ass and her arm up his back telling his mouth what to do," he says.
Robert, who had diligently cleaned up his troubled ways for his wife, can next be seen in the superhero flick Iron Man with Gwyneth Paltrow.
