Robert Hegyes, 'Welcome Back Kotter' Star, Dies at 60

One of pop culture's better known TV stars from the '70s, Robert Hegyes, has died. Most known for playing Juan Luis Pedro Philippo DeHuevos Epstein in the hit show Welcome Back Kotter, Robert passed away from a heart attack.

The New Jersey native headed to NYC after graduating from college to perform in off-Broadway shows. In his breakout role on Kotter, he starred along John Travolta who played another fellow sweathog, Vinnie Barbarino. OK! Robert is survived by two children, two step-children and three siblings. May he rest in peace.
