NEWSA-Rod Lets His Rep Do the Talking

Alex Rodriguez may not be quite ready to talk about his current marital troubles---but he's more than happy to let his mouthpiece do it for him.
On Tuesday, A-rod's rep talked to Entertainment Tonight about the Yankee star's divorce battle.
The rep tells ET, "Alex has received the papers that were filed and he wants to do everything in his power to make sure he can be close to his children as they grow up and mature."

The rep also says that A-Rod and soon to be ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez have had approximately one "brief" but "cordial" conversation since Cynthia filed for divorce in Florida on July 7. The former couple have two young daughters together.
