Forget that Stavros Niarchos guy: As reports swirl that Paris Hilton and her main man Benji Madden have split after almost a year together, a new rumor has one royal reason for the breakup – Prince William.
Allegedly the heiress spent quite a bit of time with the British royal during filming for the second season of her reality show, I Wanna Be Paris Hilton's Best Friend, according to Pop Tarts.
Sources point in the direction of the Australian New Year's Eve party Paris and Benji were set to appear at together, a party Prince William was also invited to.The Good Charlotte rocker didn't like the idea of the Brit showing up again near his lady.
"For security reasons, he won't confirm his attendance until just before, but we're told he is pretty keen to meet up with Paris," the source tells Pop Tars.
